Today happened to be an important day for me, as I drove for the first time in a couple of months.  It felt so simple and natural to drive Vladika Lazar to Mission for his physiotherapy session, then back to the monastery.  It almost felt as if I had not given up driving for even a single day and, feeling the independence and well-being brought on by this act, I could fully understand how Vladika Lazar must have felt when he once again sat behind the steering wheel after months of recuperation, both in various hospitals and here as well.  All this has added great joy to the natural feeling of delight that spring brings us each year, with colour everywhere, especially from the countless rhododendron bushes that have brought brilliance and life to the entire green valley.
