After a few hot days, one tends to forget what a cool morning is like. In fact, even my nose felt cold when I awoke, but I resisted turning on the heat, knowing that it would surely warm up as the day progressed. As well, it had rained overnight so the air smelled completely different. Perhaps it was this change that energized me and, before long, I attacked all the boxes, baskets etc. that were littering the kitchen, and before long it almost began to look like a model kitchen. As for the computer and work area, there is a permanent messiness, showing that it is heavily used. Our local postmistress’s cat had kittens and she wondered if we would like to have a couple of them. Kittens are cute, but we do not feel like keeping and training them.
