Someone mentioned that today looks and feels like a typical late November day and they probably were correct, for it has been overcast with showers, not cold but dreary and completely uninspiring. I do not wish to suggest that November is a dreary month, rather it is caught somewhere between the joy of autumn and the briskness of winter. So much for the weather report. On the other hand, we had a most delightful wedding anniversary blessing with three generations present. The service was for the grandparents, but the children and grandchildren were present which made it such a splendid occasion. Too often the years slip by and we forget to give thanks and to receive a blessing for all that has taken place in our lives and instead just take things for granted.
