Early this morning volunteers arrived to help here at the monastery. Some worked in the garden, pulling out weeds and trimming some of the plants that have become too tall, while others cleaned the reception room which has not been properly cleaned for a long time. Many thanks for all this help. In the early evening we served a memorial service when Galina and Anna brought food for a memorial meal as is the custom, as well as some treats from Greece. I neglected to mention that Stavroula wrote about how they celebrated the Joy Of Canada at the same time that we did, not here though, but way south in Virginia. That was most touching of them to have done that.
