Not having expected to see many people come for the liturgy on this feast of the Ascension of Our Lord, I was pleasantly surprised to see how many did come. At the meal following the service, our friends Anysim and his son Xenon sang the Lord’s Prayer in their Old Believer way. Hearing them sing, it carried us back to old Russia. Father Moses lost his vest with the keys to his building so that he could not get in. We made a thorough search and found nothing. Finally, hours later, he found them quite by accident, much to our relief, otherwise we would have had to bring a ladder to ctawl up to the balcony.
