I came across several photo albums that belonged to our dear friend George who died a few years ago and, while glancing through them, I found many photos taken here at the monastery that we should show our readers. A photo can often say more than words. We miss George, a true and faithful friend, who was full of surprises, unwavering in his love of Orthodoxy, and often unexpectedly outspoken. We shall always remember his stories and anecdotes about life in Shanghai where he was an altar boy for Saint John. Nowadays such people are a rarity.
