All of us here at the monastery have tried to keep out of the sun all day as, once again, the heat was almost unbearable, at least for old people like us. The only thing I managed to do was to water the plants, something that will have to be done every day. Yet, despite the heat, we had a double baptism for three year old Michael and five year old Sophia, brother and sister. They behaved beautifully and little Michael was curious about the baptismal water, sticking his finger into it to find out how warm it was. It would be nice it all baptisms were that peaceful.
