Daily Diary, 6 June, 2020

Today is Trinity Saturday so a special day leading up to Pentecost. It was quite hot here at the monastery so, once again, I stayed indoors most of the day, working on the curtains, reading the prayers for the reposed, and continuing the search for frames in which to exhibit icon prints.

This evening Vespers was read in the big church, with the icon of the Pentecost feast decorated with some of the new flowers that Natasha and some of the ladies had planted. Later in the evening, Archbishop Lazar assisted in the Zoom Vesper service which is always appreciated by many of our pious parishioners, who are no longer able to attend services here due to the current distancing policy.
