There is a terrible storm outdoors at this moment which would be perfect for the beginning of a Grade B mystery movie as we see Count Dracula scurrying around a corner with his wide scarf turned up to cover his   scarred face.   And windows rattle relentlessly  making us think that the panes will pop out any minute.  How wrong we were to have thought that a brief stay at the castle would rejuvenate  us.   Needless to say, there was no need to change the booking at this antiquated hotel as the night staff had already dispersed and we were left to ourselves.  Actually, let us get back to today’s diary entry.  The storm is reducing its fury and  I can briefly mention  how I fell, knocking my head against the solid oak stand.   In the  competition between oak stand and  human head, the latter won.
