As much as I would have liked to sleep a little longer this morning, I could not, for we had to get ready for a baptism. Father Shio and Subdeacon Andrey were present to help us and, after greeting the baptismal group and explaining the the procedure to all of them, we went to the old church and began the service. Little Sophia was ready for the immersion and she did very well. I think that we must have baptized at least five babies this year with the name Sophia which is truly an attractive name. Since this is not our feast of the Nativity of Christ, it has been a day of relaxation. In fact, the remainder of this week should be quiet, then we will have the feast of the Nativity followed by the Baptism of Christ and all that these feasts entail.
