Today was an ideal day for doing some gardening.  I tackled the wild morning glory vines that are strangling the raspberry bushes which is a never ending job. They are so invasive that they can weigh down raspberry canes so much that the canes can even crack.  While working on this, I came across a few ripe red currant berries and, for the first time this year, I had about half a dozen of these berries.  How delicious  and joyous it was to have one’s own berries even if there was not enough to have a good feed. Otherwise, it has been a quiet and peaceful day.
