The heat kept us inside and the dreams we had in winter of enjoying the summer heat have suddenly vanished, and thoughts of winter’s cool and even cold breezes have come to mind. We had a touching memorial service this morning and a memorial meal that followed and, aside from driving Vladika to the therapist, I seem to have accomplished very little. More gravel was delivered for the men to spread along the road and elsewhere. I noticed that the cherry trees have more cherries than in previous years and I just hope that we can pick some of them before the birds get to them.
