The air was filled with smoke from the forest fires in the Okanagan Valley so one can imagine how the people there must be suffering from this smoke with each day getting worse than the previous one. I drove to the blueberry patch on the Jeep to look at the state of the bushes and I was startled to see how many berries were still waiting to be picked, so perhaps tomorrow I can go there to pick a couple of buckets of berries, because it would be such a shame to leave them for the bears or others animals. As you might have read in yesterday’s entry, we were given a huge amount of peaches, so today we have been eating them all day and, as you know, peaches ripen quickly, so the rest must be eaten soon.
