A group of professional medical people came to make an assessment of Vladika’s condition here at the monastery. They made some positive suggestions and promised to do whatever they can to make things easier for him and less burdensome. Later in the day, the “foot woman” came to tend to our feet. It is not a case of being pampered, rather, such assistance is necessary. I am worried that the wasp season has begun, for they are beginning to build their nests under our eaves. Nothing can be as nasty as a wasp’s sting. We also have hornets and other stinging insects but, so far, we have not been stung.
