Finally it has become cool and, in fact, when I tried to sit outside for a while, I almost felt like putting on a sweater, whereas days ago it was simply too hot to sit outside. We had somewhat of a shock this morning when Vladika Lazar noticed that the front door was wide open. This, of course, is not acceptable, as there are many wild animals roaming about at night, not just bears and cougars, but raccoons and other small beasts. The last thing I would have liked to see was a bear standing at my bedside in the middle of the night. What must have happened was that the home care lady closed the door as she left last night, but she did not give it a strong enough tug, so that it looked closed when it actually was not. Later it became windy and a gust of wind must have pushed the door open. Even though it is far from bedtime right now, I have carefully checked to make sure that the door is tightly shut and locked. We had interesting visitors today, one Japanese speaking and the other Spanish speaking, the rest fluent in several Slavic languages.
