SATURDAY 29 SEPTEMBER 2018

I am touched by the concern of you in Florida about not seeing some of the diary entries. At times I wonder if anyone even bothers to read the diary, then suddenly I discover that there are readers located everywhere. We baptized little Neonela this morning and, even though Vladika Lazar and I are having difficulty with baptisms, this one was special. Later in the afternoon, Father Alexey baptized another child, so it has been a full day. Poor Father Moses is still not feeling well, so he could not come for Vespers, but Deacon Markel, Reader Sorin and Matushka Laura joined me at the kliros and I feel that we did well. Lija and Natalia spent hours in preparing food for us. Larissa and her family were in Oregon and she phoned to say that they were on their way to the monastery. I had to go to prepare for the night, but Deacon Markel was here to greet them and to get them settled in for the night.
