SATURDAY 27 JULY 2019

A heavy downpour at night was loud enough to wake up the entire countryside, but we did need it.  Volunteers came throughout the day to work on different projects.  We had the nicest visit possible with Father James and Presvytera Irene who drove up from California to visit us. It was even possible to squeeze in a filming session in the afternoon. Marina from Edmonton came with some children and how good it was to see her after such a long absence.  I tried out the electric scooter that was donated which I will probably use tomorrow for the Cross Procession to the monument in the field.  After supper, as I left the dining room and walked through the kitchen, I saw the women preparing flower petals to use in the procession when, as everyone walks under the icon Joy of Canada, these petals will be scattered on the icon.
