Although it is officially summer, today’s weather was not seasonal, but rather cool, not that we were complaining. Half a dozen volunteers showed up and one could immediately feel the energy that was emanating from them. It was scrub here, vacuum there, clean everywhere and the entire day was dedicated to work. In the morning , however, we baptized little Catherine who was so good. A couple of years ago we baptized her sister Maria. Our favourite visiting dog, Mimi, was as quiet as usual until she sensed that Andy’s two big dogs were in the vicinity, whereupon she began to bark loudly, possibly to warn us of their presence. By comparison she is so tiny that either dog could probably squash her underfoot.
