This morning we baptized two year old Eva, who comes from a mixed background, her father being of Dutch descent. I could not resist what I hear many times in Lynden, a city across the border in Washington State where a large percentage of the population is Dutch and so, I just had to say, “You ain’t much if you ain’t Dutch.” This always provides a lot of laughs. A great job was done in resurfacing the ramp leading up to the new church which should last many years. You might recall seeing a photo of Mimi, the tiny and beautiful dog that Kirill has brought here at various times. She was here again today and she enthralled all who had come for Vespers with her gentleness and loving personality.
