The weather remains beautiful and our spirits abound with renewed energy and enthusiasm.  There is one thing, however, that I must ask of those readers who attend church here: please be careful with the bread and any other food that you intend to throw out, using the excuse of “feeding the birds.” Andy was witness to the bears and raccoons eating this throw away food, leaving their feces behind and even attracting rats from the forest.  If you really want to “feed the birds” then please take the food home and do it at your own place.  I hope that our Glyko arrived safely in Switzerland, for her original flight was cancelled yesterday because of mechanical trouble and thus she was rerouted.  It is more than 24 hours since she left, so I assume that she must be in Geneva by now.  While doing some photography this afternoon, I stepped into the gatehouse and, to my utter delight, I saw that it has been transformed into a little chapel, thanks to Naiana. Perhaps one of these Sundays we can serve a short thanksgiving service there, even though only half a dozen people can fit in comfortably. Others shall have to crowd around outside. It also has a candle that illumines the chapel day and night.
