Indeed, I did come down with the sniffles and, after trying various remedies, I do feel better. I once read that this should happen every year at this time, as it detoxifies us and prepares us the the winter, although I cannot altogether give credence to this idea. I was horrified to see that the price of gasoline had jumped from $1.31 to $1.45 per litre today at many service stations. No doubt by tomorrow all of them will hike their prices as well and no one can tell when the price will be lowered once again. There were long lineups of vehicles with drivers, including me, filling their tanks before any change in price took place. And now, before retiring to bed, I shall try another remedy to rid myself of the sniffles—garlic maybe?
