I have to say that today was a marvellous day. The day began with the celebration of the Divine Liturgy for the feast of the Entry Into Jerusalem, which most North American people know as “Palm Sunday”. Archbishop Lazar and Father Shio served in the altar and I served as the chanter. Just as before, we videotaped the service and I made several photos.
In the afternoon, I got the church ready for the forthcoming “Bridegroom Service” by removing the icon of the Entry into Jerusalem and replacing it with an icon of Christ the Bridegroom. I did take a photo of the icon to share with the readers of our diary so do look for it.
After all that was finished, I decided to take a walk around the property to view whatever manifestations of Spring there might be. As is often the case, there were some eye catching views just waiting to be captured with my camera; today the number was five. It ceases to amaze me that so many spots which have been already photographed, can appear so differently, according to the time of year, the variation in temperature and humidity and other physical factors. The end result is that there are always beautiful and fascinating sites to capture on film.
