It is almost eight o’clock in the evening and it is completely dark outside. Where has the daylight gone? And why so quickly? It will be another three months before the days start getting longer again so, in the meantime, we must put up with this darker period. We were inundated with visitors today, Eritreans to be exact. They visit us once a year and today they spent the entire day here which they enjoyed except that it was too wet to spend much time outside. The children were a delight and the lunch they brought for us was delicious. There must have been at least one hundred people, but we managed to squeeze them into the hall and the small dining room. I hope that we can post some photos of the visitors in today’s Daily Diary.
