SUNDAY 21 JULY 2019

What a scorching day it was today, yet we should not complain, after all, it is mid summer and it is this heat that causes the fruit and vegetables to ripen.  Prayers were read for those who are going to travel and it felt as if a quarter of the congregation stepped  forward, just as this has been happening for the last three Sundays, but one should not wonder, as it is vacation time and people are leaving for a much needed rest.  Still, we had a nice service and many stayed after the Agape meal.  I was happy to see my niece Nicole who was able to drop in for a short visit, after having come from Alberta for a family reunion on her father’s side.  The visit was short, but sweet.
