For quite some time we have been concerned about cleaning under the kitchen sink.  This problem might sound trivial, but neither of us can bend down enough to tackle this task, so when the cleaning woman arrived at noon, we asked her if she would mind carrying out this chore.  What a splendid job she did and now we can rest assured that all nooks and crannies are clean.  We served a memorial for Galina’s father, Vyacheslav, with a memorial meal following.  At  least half the people present were Turkish speakers so there was a somewhat middle eastern feeling to the event.  Moreover, I was proud of the young people who cleared the tables, cleaned the kitchen and showed us what the energy of youth can accomplish.
