Our first visitor this morning told us of the snow that had begun to fall not far from us. I did not want to hear that, but when the snow reached us, it was mixed with rain and, in a while, there was no snow at all. I had more than enough of my share of snow when I was growing up, so when I hear people say that they can scarcely wait for snow to begin, I feel most uncomfortable. Two large boxes of candles arrived at the post office, yet it was only the other day that I had ordered them. Now we are well supplied with candles for the next while. We sent out a Constant Contact bulletin concerning the services for the next couple of weeks, which included the midnight New Year service and mention was made of the children’s “Yolka” on 13 January.
