A beautiful day it has been, more so with the abundance of water available to us. It feels like a life of luxury.  We consulted an immigration lawyer concerning Father Shio’s stay in Canada  and, to our great amazement, the young woman looked familiar which was understandable, as we had baptized her little son some time ago. I believe I mentioned the other day about bumping into a young woman whose marriage took place here at our monastery.  Perhaps these encounters are of no significance, but it is so rewarding, in old age, to meet people “in the market place” as the old saying  tells us, that is, people with whom we have had positive contacts.  The bones may grow wearier but the spirit becomes stronger. By the way, I took a photo of some lively snowdrops, the first I have seen this winter.
