This day began with the memorial prayers for Elena Abramova and then a general Pannikhida. Following this the remainder of the day was spent with a number of visitors. Ludmila and Dima were here and attended Vespers, along with Kirill and Matushka Raissa. The chanting went well and the service flowed smoothly. Following the Vesper service, we had a tea break and snack time which was quite good. There was also the chance to discuss some of the parish problems and challenges. Someone had sent a large container of lapsha as well as a bowl of buckwheat kasha with forest mushrooms. Then, there was a large pot of tea and chocolate/buckwheat cookies for dessert. This proved to be an excellent ending to a busy day but also a prayerful day.
