This has been Election Day in Canada after a short forty day campaign which seemed long enough for most of us. I cannot imagine how Americans can stand an election campaign that stretches for over a year. Still, some Canadian are no doubt happy with the outcome of this election, others, not happy, but that is the basis of our democracy. I had a great deal of pain in my leg and back, so I did not bother to go out today, hoping all the while that tomorrow might be a better day when I can enjoy time spent outdoors.
