It was such a beautiful morning, bright and sunny, with air that was crisp and invigorating, that I decided not to use the scooter to go to church and instead I walked with Andy and Andrey accompanying me. It was encouraging to see so many people in church as I took my place to hear confessions. Andrey’s wife and children were present, having just moved from Toronto a couple of days ago and Inna’s granddaughter was here from Paris. Can you imagine—this little girl can speak French, Spanish, Russian, English and more, at least to one degree or another, and here we older people struggle with just one language. After the Agape meal, the Yule tree was put up and decorated. This year we shall have a modified concert for the children, as the usual participants are all under the weather, but I know that the children will enjoy it anyhow.
