I have not been sleeping well the last few nights which means that I wake up every hour or so and, sleeping in the reclining chair, I get to see the night gradually changing into morning with the addition of the songs of the first birds and, eventually, the first rays of the sun that is, if it is not cloudy.  This morning we waited for Andy to appear, as he had promised to transplant some of the cedar trees.  Today was the first Saturday when no one came to prepare food for us, so at four in the afternoon, I sauntered over to the kitchen in the main building to prepare something to eat after Vespers.  Margareta and Vitaly showed up almost at the same time and told me to forget about the food, as they took over the kitchen and thus saved the day for us. Thanks to them, the table was covered with a number of dishes that were prepared without any fuss or worry.  At the same time Ada and Lucian came, bearing the electric samovar that they took to repair a couple of years ago. To be honest, I had forgotten all about it.  At any rate, the samovar, which works on 220 volts, was provided with a converter so that the samovar could be used easily.  We plugged it in and, indeed, it does work.  Meanwhile, others came for confession and consultation, so that we were almost running around in circles.  As usual, however, all worked out splendidly.
