Today has been a remarkably sunny, warm, even hot, day, difficult to be out in the sun for a long period of time but ever so pleasant to sit in the shade of the towering cedars. At the end of the Liturgy when I asked those who are planning to travel to step forward, it looked as if a quarter of the people present came up. It was only my imagination, but quite a few are preparing to travel to Europe and elsewhere. I was especially happy to see Marina from Edmonton whose presence was unexpected. We did not have a chance to visit with her, although she promised to see us tomorrow. Some parts of the Liturgy were sung especially well and when everyone began Psalm 33 I felt like joining in, but it was the time for the communion of the clergy. It is one of my favourites and it is sung very well at each Liturgy.
