It was hot today, reaching 30 degrees and I had to water the plants in my little garden twice, otherwise some of them would not have survived another day. Dima, Elena and Olga came bearing food for us and, although I was not especially hungry, I enjoyed what they had brought, in addition to their company. After having eaten, one went to water the plants, another to vacuum the carpet in the church and the third cleaned up in the kitchen, all of this being most welcome, as we cannot do it ourselves. I had a couple of mosquito bites, which must mean that we are entering the nasty mosquito biting season which usually lasts about three or four weeks then it gradually dwindles.
