This first day of December has not been typical for this time of the year, with a warm sun beaming down upon us, and nature all about us so fresh and energizing. I mentioned the other day that a raven was tapping at the church door while we were filming and I felt that it was somewhat amusing. Today, however, my impression was completely negative when I saw what the two ravens had done. They pecked at the rubber lining on the door and tore some of it off, then they proceeded to attack and remove some of the plaster off the wall. As if that was not enough, they left their droppings everywhere, so that poor Kyrill had difficulty removing it all. He is certain that they will return and do more damage, and now we have to think of a way of deterring them. If any reader has an idea, please let us know.
