SATURDAY 22 SEPTEMBER 2018

This day was dedicated to visitors, the first coming in mid morning before leaving for home in Vladivostok. I said that I would pass on their request for everyone to pray for the founding of the first Orthodox monastery in Japan. Everything is available except for the red tape to allow the monastery to be built, so let us pray for the future Japanese Orthodox monks. We also had a Turkish visitor who is interested in becoming an Orthodox Christian, so please pray for him. Men worked all day on the water line to the konak and they think that they have solved the problem. Let us pray that they have, because water is necessary in that building. Vespers was served nicely in four languages with a visitor from Siberia present so that we had a truly international flavour here at the monastery all day.
