We were up at early dawn to take Vladika Lazar to the hospital for a regular test which meant that I was somewhat tired and sleepy all day. Father Matthew and his family from Chilliwack came for a visit together with Subdeacon Micah and his family from Edmonton. It is difficult for me to realize how quickly children grow and the children of these two families are no exception. We were outside for the entire visit which was really too short, enjoying the light breeze while sitting in the shade of the giant cedar trees. As you might recall, I have often mentioned sitting there and looking out at the tall trees and, right in front of us, is the outdoor chapel where we have served healing services and even liturgies in the past.
