Even though the rain was not very heavy during the night, the accompanying lightning and thunder were dramatic. Perhaps it only appeared thus because we have not had anything like this for a couple of months or even more. Needless to say, it was much cooler today, but I do not know why attendance at church was the lowest in many weeks. Instead of a Meleti, we served an Akathist to the Theotokos “Joy Of Canada” as we formed a semicircle in front of the icon. Reader Ireney gave a meaningful sermon that was well received by the entire congregation. I am constantly amazed at the number of talented people we have and how they are using their talents to the glory of God.
