We had another beautiful day for the visit of Dr. Thomas Bottai, an old friend of this monastery, who is the director of the Department of Toxicology in the state of Iowa.  It is always a pleasure to have him visit us and today was no exception.  Other visitors brought us real Ukrainian borshch which we will eat tomorrow.  In the evening a group of Georgians came to discuss some mutual matters.  We ran out of chairs so some, like Kakha, had to sit on the floor.  We wish to continue our cooperation with the Georgian Orthodox community as it grows and expands.  What a relief it was to have had the air conditioner installed once again.  During the day this cottage can become exceedingly hot so we need cooler air to survive and not feel as if we are living in an oven.
