WEDNESDAY 4 JULY 2018

Two groups of women came to do cleaning, weeding, and other jobs that we ourselves are no longer capable of doing. Many thanks for their enthusiasm. We drove in the Jeep across part of the field to look at the blueberry bushes and, much to our delight, the crop looks good. I picked a couple of handfuls of ripe, juicy berries, although we must wait a few more days for more to ripen so that we can enjoy them before the bears get to them. The day has been sultry and we are grateful for the dear friends who installed an air conditioner last year, so that we no longer have to sit in front of a floor fan to cool off and think of how nice and cool it was indoors last winter.
