The heat has become almost oppressive, so we have spent much of the day indoors, cooling off with the aid of the air conditioner. Some people are against air conditioners, thinking that they are harmful to one’s health. That might be so, but without one I would have been much like a hard boiled egg. Volunteers came to work indoors and out in the blueberry field, as well as doing some grass cutting. On the Russian site, you can see one of the little rabbits on the monastery property. I jokingly mentioned that we ate it and when I was informed that there was a second rabbit running about, I said that we ate it this morning. No, you must not take it seriously—we do not eat rabbits. Even the thought of it is most unpleasant.
