I began making two prosphoras, a small one for tomorrow’s feast and a large one for Sunday, including several small loaves for tonight’s Blessing of Loaves in Great Vespers. Thinking that it would be a good idea to place all of them on a large cookie sheet, I set them in the oven and only later realized that I would have to open the oven twice before removing the large one. However, none of them cracked, so all is well. Father Shio gave us a special edition of a Georgian epic that was translated into English along with prayer ropes made in Georgia. I must definitely say that these prayer ropes, made with exquisite workmanship, are superior to any others made in the Balkans. After Great Vespers, a group of almost two dozen men came to take part in a Narcotics Anonymous meeting. We have allowed them to use our hall in which to meet and we pray that they will be able to free themselves of all addictions. No bears came last night.
