Saturday is generally a day of rest for most people, but a couple of men chose to spend the entire day working here at the monastery.  There is always so much to be done and we appreciate whatever help we get.  These same helpers joined us at the readers’ stand for Vespers and, truly, the chanting was terrific, and it certainly elevated my spirits.  Father Shio was driven to Kelowna to bless a house, so it turned out to be a very long day for him, as the city is quite distant from us.  Snow has been forecast for late tonight and tomorrow, so almost everyone has become worried about it, except for those who love snow.  Personally, having been raised in an area where winters last for months, I can easily live without snow.
