Father Moses frightened me when he telephone to ask about the two baptisms we were to have had today. “Did I forget, or am losing my memory?” I asked myself. As it happened, there were no baptisms to take place and I sighed with relief. Everyone who came for Vespers stayed for a light supper which turned out not to be all that light, but very enjoyable. Kirill is helping Father Moses to put up some green branches for the service tomorrow {Green Sunday} and everything is ready although, since the service will be in Slavonic, the readers will find the necessary material before Matins begins at 8 a.m. Sorin, his brother Doru and Gerry have spent the entire day helping Glyko to move to an apartment and I think that they will have to do more tomorrow as well. I do hope that she will be satisfied in her new place.
