After a much needed rest, this week has begun with renewed energy and a lot of enthusiasm. There are a number of emails to be sent, phones calls to be made, and more manuscript proofing. I accomplished only about thirty pages today as the concentration necessary for this can tire one out fairly quickly. We did not venture out since this is the long holiday weekend and on this day the crowds are returning home so that the roads are jammed with vehicles. In fact, we could hear sirens several times which meant that there were accidents on the road. Thomas picked several dozen figs for us from the old fig tree.
