As I drove to Abbotsford for my monthly chiropractic session, I entered a huge fog patch where it was almost impossible to see ahead. Driving very slowly, I crossed the bridge and in a few minutes I was once again in the bright sunlight. I rather think that while Father Shio is with us, all the floors will be perfectly clean, as he enjoys using the vacuum cleaner. As an aside, I find it interesting that when we use an expression such as “to vacuum a carpet”, in Britain people often say “to hoover a carpet”, the word hoover coming from the Hoover Company vacuum cleaners, just as we use the word “aspirin” for various pain killers.
