Vladika’s doctor reviewed some of Vladika’s old xrays, in particular those taken after he had the terrible fall of ten metres in 1998. He skull was so fractured that the doctor could not believe that he did not die then. Yet, twenty years later and sixteen metal plates used to reconstruct his face, he is still as active as he can be. We both walked so much today that we became completely exhausted, then we revived when Andy picked some of the most beautiful, delicious, juicy and organic apples from our trees and I could not image any fruit tasting better than these apples. Moreover, the bears have not been back. I called the Complex Joint Clinic in Vancouver to find out how much longer I have to wait for my hip replacement. They informed me, with apologies, that everything is moving slower than expected and I would be called in possibly in the beginning of the new year. This will be good for my humility and patience.
