Once a week, usually on a Friday, Health Care sends a woman to help in cleaning our cottage, that is, she will vacuum the carpets, scrub the kitchen and bathroom floors, and do other necessary cleaning work. This time a substitute came and arrived quite late, just as we had to drive to town to get the windshield replaced on the Jeep. She was afraid to be left alone, and as a consequence, little was done. Vladika does not like the idea of me driving alone, so he accompanied me only to find out that it would take at least three hours for the replacement. We therefore had to sit for almost three hours only to be told that it would take longer than anticipated. At least they gave us a courtesy car, a Smart car which was the first time I had driven one. It was an interesting experience and I would definitely use it in city driving, but here in the country I prefer a larger automobile. At long last the windshield was replaced. In our absence some visitors brought baked salmon that Vladika enjoyed. Anna, my goddaughter, sent me a muffler/scarf that she had knitted at my request after I saw her amazing knitting skill.
